About Todd Besser
Todd was a 16 year veteran of the Elk River Police Department, school liaison for ISD728 (Elk River Schools), 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force, father and husband. His life and his oldest son's lives were tragically taken in a domestic situation by his younger son on May 9, 2015 in their St Michael home of 15 years, leaving his family, friends and community devastated. We are hoping to honor his legacy and his love of life by celebrating his life and his commitment to his community and country through the scholarship funds that are supported by the fundraiser fun run.
About the Fun Run
This is an event geared toward families. There is a kids run and an adult walk/waddle/run. Why a waddle? Todd Besser was known for his walking style, a waddle!
At the event there will be activities for the runners and their families. Entertainment includes a live band, food stands, exhibitors and more! As we continue to add different events and activities, we will keep the site updated.
